ABOUT USOur Ministry
|
The American Baptist Foundation is a center through which planned gifts, the result of estate planning, may be made for all American Baptist ministry and mission, from congregational efforts and regional camping experiences to outreach across our nation and around the world.

 |
The Foundation's ministry of encouraging giving through wills and estate plans began in 1985 through the efforts of American Baptist Educational Ministries and
National Ministries. In 1989, two other American Baptist groups joined; they were
International Ministries and a corporation composed of a majority of
American Baptist regions. This cooperation by different members of our faith family provides a model for good stewardship of talent and resources.
Nationwide ServiceFoundation Representatives throughout the country and the
Foundation Administrative Staff are available to discuss charitable estate planning (
ways to give) with individuals and their financial advisors or attorneys. In addition, the Foundation offers to persons and churches
endowment fund services for management and investment of permanent funds designated for ministry and mission support.

Our planned giving services are provided at no cost or obligation. The services include confidential consultation and educational materials for individuals as well as seminars on wills and estate planning for churches and regional events. Brochures and other resources, which encourage planned gifts as a step of stewardship, are available free of charge to all American Baptists and can be ordered through this website. Please contact us with any questions or comments you may have. |
Ensuring "A Future with Hope"
Foundation Representatives have a well-earned reputation for assisting prospective planned gift donors with extraordinary sensitivity to the donors' unique situations and interests. The outcome is a creative, effective way for American Baptist donors to remain caring people who support the causes that matter to them. Since we believe it is important to say, "Thank you," we honor those who establish charitable estate plans by inviting them to become members in the John Mason Peck Society.
This recognition celebrates donors' decisions that often result in more funding for ministry and mission plus favorable tax benefits to donors, families, and heirs. No matter what the size of an estate, making plans to use a portion of it to sustain American Baptist endeavors can help ensure "a future with hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).
